Hi! I’m Bonnie Wayland, the proud owner and person behind Dreamy Dubs.
My love for classic Volkswagens started when I saw photos of my grandfather's 1959 Beetle from his time in Florida. That car sparked a lifelong passion, and in 2019, I brought my dream to life with Dreamy Dubs, starting with my beloved 1973 VW Super Beetle, "Lucy."
The Story
Dreamy Dubs started with a car, but it was never really just about the car.
I fell in love with vintage Volkswagens because of how they make people feel. They slow things down. They invite conversation. They remind people of a time when life felt a little simpler and a lot more connected.

Everywhere Lucy goes, people gather. Someone always has a story. A couple tells me they had one just like it when they were younger. Someone else says it was their first car. Strangers start talking to each other without even realizing it. That sense of community is what made Dreamy Dubs feel special from the very beginning.
I started Dreamy Dubs because I love what these cars create. Not just the photos or the aesthetic, but the moments around them. The laughter. The memories. The way they bring people together without trying. I get to meet people at really meaningful points in their lives. Couples just starting their marriage, full of excitement and possibility. Older couples who smile and tell me stories about road trips and glory days. For a moment, everyone is connected through this shared love of something familiar.
Dreamy Dubs is about more than a vintage car. It is about the vibe that comes with it. The retro details. The art. The little things that make people stop and feel something. It is about creating spaces where people want to linger and connect.This car lets me experience life and the people in it in a really genuine way. It puts me right in the middle of people’s stories, and I get to be a small part of their journey.
