The Face Behind Dreamy Dubs

Hi! I’m Bonnie Wayland, the owner and creative behind Dreamy Dubs.

My love for classic Volkswagens started with photos of my grandfather’s 1959 Beetle during his time in Florida. That car sparked something in me early on, and in 2019 I brought my own dream to life by launching Dreamy Dubs with my 1973 VW Super Beetle, “Lucy.”

What started as one vintage car has grown into something much bigger.

The Story

Dreamy Dubs has never really been just about the cars.

I fell in love with vintage Volkswagens because of how they make people feel. They slow things down. They invite conversation. They create space for connection. Everywhere Lucy goes, people gather. Someone shares a memory. Someone else says it was their first car. Strangers start talking. Laughter fills the air.

That sense of community is what made Dreamy Dubs special from the beginning.

I started this business because I love what these cars create. Not just the photos or the aesthetic, but the moments around them. The energy. The nostalgia. The way they quietly bring people together.

Dreamy Dubs has allowed me to meet people during meaningful seasons of their lives — couples beginning their marriage, families celebrating milestones, people reconnecting with something that feels familiar and joyful.

It’s always been about shared moments and real connection.

Meet The Fleet

Lucy — 1973 VW Super Beetle

Lucy is where it all began. She’s the original Dreamy Dubs car and continues to serve as a wedding getaway car, event feature, and photoshoot favorite. She carries so many stories, including my own.

Stevie — 1977 VW Bus

Stevie was rescued from a field in New Mexico and is currently being restored to life. She represents growth, expansion, and the next chapter of Dreamy Dubs. Stevie brings even more space for creativity, styling, and memorable experiences.

Together, Lucy and Stevie represent the heart of this brand — vintage charm, intentional details, and moments that feel timeless.

Expanding Into Flowers

As Dreamy Dubs has grown, so has my creative vision.

I wanted to build something that carried the same energy as the cars, something that slows people down, creates connection, and invites beauty into everyday life.

That’s how the flower side of the business began.

From mobile bouquet bars to seasonal pop-ups and monthly flower subscriptions, I’m expanding Dreamy Dubs into a space where vintage vehicles and fresh flowers meet. It’s still about connection — just in a new form.

The flowers are designed with the same intention as the cars: thoughtfully sourced, seasonally inspired, and created to bring people together.

What Dreamy Dubs Is Really About

Dreamy Dubs is about more than vintage vehicles or fresh flowers.

It’s about moments that feel meaningful.
It’s about slowing down.
It’s about creating spaces where people linger, laugh, and connect.
It’s about being a small part of someone’s story.
